We manufacture both single screw and coextrusion systems for the rubber industry. Systems are available with a range of elastomer extruders including multipurpose, hot and cold feed, silicone, vacuum vented, pin barrel, smooth barrel and custom designs, as well as gear extruders. We also supply extrusion heads, custom feedscrew designs, curing systems, laboratory and downstream equipment, integrated process control systems, and complete turnkey systems.
We have a large selection of extruders available in 1 1/2-inch (38mm) to 10-inch (254mm) barrel diameters with L/D ratios up to 20:1. Extruders include quick clamp disconnect, multi-zone temperature control, a pneumatic feed roll design, single and double reduction gearboxes, and a common base configuration for processing efficiency.
For improved processing, our ELF (Elastomer Leakage Free) feed section feeds shavings scraped from the feed roll back into the process, reducing waste and protecting feed roll bearings from contamination.
Our gear extruders improve energy savings, reduce residence time, and provide a high pressure pumping capability at low extrudate temperatures. This extruder can be used independently or in tandem with a single screw extruder, eliminating the need for screening during the extrusion process. It is available in 70, 120 and 150mm sizes and with 200, 300 and 370mm screen diameters. Standard features include a two-roll feeder for single and multiple strip feeding, a hydraulic head clamp, three temperature control zones, a touch screen PLC control, dual head capability, dancer trim control and feed strip detectors.
